The noble house of Slytherin.

Adjacent to the Potions Classroom and reached by the door within the classroom to the left is Professor Snape's office which is just as dark and as dingy as the rest of the dungeons. There are a great number of cupboards in the room which are used to house his private stores of Potions ingredients. His desk is along the far wall which is usually under a mountain of paper work. It is not a pleasant feeling to be sitting before Professor Snape and the circumstances are almost never kind, unless of course you are a Slytherin. There is a second door in this otherwise barren room that leads to Snape's living quarters, Merlin only knows what goes on in there...

Easily the most hated subject taught at Hogwarts except for maybe Divination Potions Class is taught by the hated Professor Snape, who threatens to poison at least one student each year to see if their antidotes turned out properly. Animals in glass jars line the walls around this spacious dark, damp, stone room with no windows. The only light is from a few torches and the flowing of the fires burning under the cauldrons. The room can easily fit twenty cauldrons and work tables with ample walking room. Professor Snape's desk is at the front of the room, it is usually covered with stacks of parchment containing notes and essays, different potions books, this is where Professor Snape teaches from when he is not stalking some of his most hated students which tend to be Gryffindors. The door to the left of his desk leads to his office and private stores of potions ingredients and to right of his desk along the wall there are a series of cuboards that hold old text books and the student stores of potion ingredients.
